Introducing a New Series of Interviews
Every Home Crusade/Revival Movement Association use 3-4 Tonne of paper each week in producing Gospel literature. It is then shipped free of charge to many missionaries, Pastors, Ministries & individuals around the World for use in evangelism & in building up the Church.

I recently sent 7 questions out to many of these men & women who use literature as part of their ministry to make Christ known among the nations. And as the replies arrive i'll post them periodically as part of the Every Home Crusade Interview Series, in which i'll also interview some of the staff at EHC.

Today we meet Alan Graham who works with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) in Zimbabwe.
I'd like to express my thanks to Alan for taking time out of his busy schedule to bless us in this way, and i pray that you'll get a flavour of what Christ is doing both through Alan & the literature we print at EHC.

Interview With Alan Graham

Tell us a bit about yourself, your background & call to Christ?

Dorothy and I were saved in 1980 from a background of ALCOHOL abuse, I was brought up on the Shankill rd in Belfast, and dorothy in Liverpool with no church background and no knowledge of God. (For more info see EHC book by victor maxwell)

Could you tell us about the ministry that you’re involved with and how you were led by Christ into it?

After receiving Christ I got involved in door to door, open air ministry etc and one Tuesday night at our church a CEF missionary challenged us to reach out to children, we got involved in a GNC then went to Camp in Donegal in 1981 and again for the next 3 years before God called us to Donegal full time after Bible School, we went to Donegal in 1987

Could you tell us a bit about the country and area you work in?

Zimbabwe is a magnificent country with magnificent people! Very humble and open people!
We work mainly with the Shona people who are the biggest people group in Zim. There are 12 million people in Zim, by 2010 the average age will be 15 years old due to the Aids pandemic, life expectancy is now 34 years for a male and 32 for a female, children are everywhere!

We work in the capital city Harare with 3 million people, the situation these past 10 years has been political turmoil and mayhem but in the midst God has been working and saving many children. The people by and large are very poor, there is 94% unemployment, we have just US dollarized the economy and this is causing great hardships as no one has US dollars or the means to earn them!

Every Home Crusade/Revival Movement Association supplies you with some literature, could you tell us how helpful it is in your ministry & how you use it?

The literature has literally opened the doors into many schools meaning we are reaching over 60,000 children every month, children love the Gospels of John and the CEF tracts. When visiting homes and orphanages months after distributing literature we see the material in pride of place and much read. We distribute in clubs, churches, orphanages and schools, the Governments deputy education secretary wants a box of Shona Gospels when they arrive!

How well do people receive the literature? Do you receive much feedback etc?

A lot of the literature also goes to the rural areas so we don't often get feedback from individuals but from the Pastors who love it! In town we have an ongoing communication with the people who receive it and it is all positive and the folks are very grateful to own something of the word of God

If someone responds to Christ do you follow up or channel them into a local Church?

We seek to channel them to a local church but we also have a weekly or by-weekly meeting with all the children and follow them up as a team.

Could you share a few testimonies of those who’s lives have been touched by Christ as a result of the literature?

In one home called Mbuya Nehanda, after receiving the Gospels of John and CEF tracts every child called on the name of the Lord and were saved! Over 65 children and young people; praise God they now have a church there!

Many orphans testify to finding the lord through the Gospels, one girl Fortunate was demon possessed and after reading the word called on the Lord and was delivered and saved Hallelujah.

A boy, Freddie had his life turned around after being orphaned, he read the Gospel and found the Father!
